Soooooo...WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?!
Make-up brushes, bags and storage need a detox and with regular use accumulate dust and bacteria. The more we clean, the less we risk causing germs to transfer to skin.
Regular cleans remove dead skin cells and oil from brushes, which left with product build-up clog pores and dull skin.
C l e a n brushes help with a smoother application - no streaks or patches. Less irritation to face and neck and bristles can maintain a silky soft texture and ultimately - last longer. For quality brushes, some of these brands aren't cheap and you want to get most value for spends.
DISINFECTING brushes, applicators and tools such as tweezers/eye lash curlers between use is possible with getting a small clear bottle (glass or recycled plastic) and mix bay rum, fresh lemon water, lavender and/or tea tree oil to light spritz over brushes. Spray inside make up bags, storage and on skincare creams/lotions and potions and then wipe clean.
DEEP CLEANING use a simple and chic mix of warm soapy water with a favourite natural ingredient liquid soap. S h a m p o o and lather and feel free to add a few drops of almond oil and/or olive oil to help soften brushes as they air dry on a flat clean and sanitised surface.
Side note: Same can be said for cleaning jewellery. Mama Rosie Bloom used to soak hers in cups of luxurious foamy/soapy warm water and then after an hour or so, rub all over with an old toothbrush.

Glad to be of service to you for the past 16 months and create as you put it "an oasis of calm when I get home from a hectic day at work."
